## Executive GMAT Focus Overview

The Data Insights section is the most significant addition to the GMAT Focus Edition. Within DI, **Multi-Source Reasoning (MSR)** represents the highest time-management challenge. You are presented with 2 or 3 tabs containing distinct texts, charts, or emails, and asked to evaluate complex mathematical and logical assertions.

### The Skim-and-Map Strategy
Do not try to memorize or fully comprehend all exhibits on your first read. The secret is structural mapping:
1. **Tab 1 (The Anchor):** Usually defines the core system or problem. Spend 45 seconds identifying the main actors and variables.
2. **Tab 2 (The Data):** Usually a spreadsheet or schedule. Locate what columns represent without studying individual rows.
3. **Tab 3 (The Exigency):** Emails or updates introducing changes or exceptions.

### Filter Extraneous Information
GMAT MSR designers include excessive detail to distract you. When answering, search only for the intersecting data points between tabs. For example, if Tab 1 states a policy, and Tab 2 lists dates, synthesize them only when a question specifically targets an intersection.

### Practical Cognitive Execution #19

When studying this conceptual block, remember to log your accuracy thresholds. Focus on time margins and try to eliminate choices systematically in under 75 seconds.
